Trip June 9 th and 10 th

We left La Habra Heights about 1130 am and headed out the 60 freeway towards San Manuel Casino in Highland California about 60 miles away.

We got there about 45 minutes later and Jackie and I started playing the penny slot machines. We like the More Chilis and the More Hearts machines but started playing other types of slot machines. I guess we stayed there for and hour and a half; Jackie at about even and me behind 20 bucks.

After that we checked into the Hilton Garden Inn in Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga maybe 8 miles away. We got checked in about 330pm and then proceded to the in-door swiminmg pool. This one was not very warm so we opted to go into the spa. That was very hot but we endured it a 15 or so minutes to a half hour. There were a lot of kids there at the time so it was a bit noisy.

Later we got ready ( Around six pm ) and drive to the Cask N Cleaver in Ontario ( California ) to have dinner with our Entertainment book. We had a salad bar which was very delicious and had very crisp lettuce. Our main course was a 10 oz sirloin  cooked medium well. It was a little over done on the ends, but still very delicious. We also split a baked potato and the tiny onion rings. The baked potatoe was great with butter and bacon bits from the salad bar and the tiny onion rings were a little done but al in all it was a very good meal and our tummies were full and we had a smile on our face. We had left over steak so we elected to take it back to the hotel room with us. We we left the next day, we promptly took off out of town withe leftover steaks still in the frig.

After a good a bit of flicking channels on the tv we went to sleep and woke up early next morning after a few cups of coffee were wide awake.After looking at the buffet for $9.95 we decided to go out to breakfast. We normally have free breakfast included. We finally decided to go to Denny’s for breckfast. I chose biscuits and gravy and has browns. Jackie chose pancakes and eggs over medium. We then traded the eggs and hash browns. Jackie liked her oanny cakes and hash browns and my biscuots and gravy and eggs were very good. Good that is, until I dribbled a little catsup ( Heinz ) on it and her the syrup.

We went back to the pool and the pool water was still very cool so elected to take a dip in the spa for a few minutes.

We then collected every thing up ( I usually lose something ) and took off back west, heading to Jackies house at about 12:30 PM; another successful in-road trip.

Conclusion: Hotel in-door pool to cold, Cask N Cleaver steak very good, We will go back as we have another 2 for 1 coupon and will eat at Denny’s again.
